The North Canoe

Today the North Canoe lets people explore their outdoors. People that have never been in a canoe enjoy a great first paddling experience. Seasoned paddlers enjoy introducing classmates, co-workers or family to canoeing.

Experience a North Canoe. Teamwork and community follow. A sense of community that comes from paddling together touches the alumni of many organizations. And, your alumni may return to touch the same NWC North Canoe they paddled as youth.

The NWC North Canoe will endure decades of service. These 24-foot canoes acommodate six-to-ten paddlers. The 4-foot amidships beam and deep hull make this canoe stable and seaworthy. A North Canoe is only available as a NWC custom build.

At NorthWest Canoe, we combine tradition with space age materials. High impact structural foam and Kevlar gets vacuum bagged into the cedar strip hull, giving NWC North Canoes the durability and strength found in performance skis, surfboards and sailboats.

Wilderness Inquiry (WI) boasts an entire fleet of handcrafted NWC North Canoes. The WI canoes make adventure travel accessible to everyone. Allowing people regardless of age, background or ability to visit places like Voyageurs National Park and the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area.
