The North Canoe

This 24-foot canoe will transport six-to-ten paddlers. The 4-foot amidships beam and deep hull make the canoe stable and seaworthy. And it's only available as an NWC custom build.

At NorthWest Canoe we combine tradition with space age materials. High impact structural foam and Kevlar gets vacuum bagged into a cedar strip hull, giving NWC North Canoes the durability and strength found in performance skis and surfboards.

This NWC North Canoe, a custom build for the National Park Service, will transport thousands of visitors through the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area. The MNRRA corridor includes 72 miles of the Mississippi River stretching from the cities of Dayton and Ramsey to just south of Hastings, Minnesota.

The Mississippi River Fund financed the build. The Fund engages private citizens, public and private foundations and industry sources to support the activities of the National Park Service and its partners to enhance the Mississippi River.

The NWC North Canoe is well tested. Wilderness Inquiry boast an entire fleet of handcrafted NWC North Canoes. The WI canoes make adventure travel accessible to everyone. Allowing people regardless of age, background or ability to visit places like Voyageurs National Park and the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area.
